Catholic Church calls for prayers as eyewitnesses recount dramatic mid-day Priest’s abduction

The speaker of parliament has expressed disappointment with the implementation of certain directives outside the law.

‘The Constitution is clear on procedure. Why flout the rules! Can we just do things right? The biggest problem is technical people who rush to implement; technical people must step down & follow the law. Costs nothing to do the right thing under the law,”Rt. Hon. Oulanya said.

This came after members of the opposition in parliament yesterday stormed out in an expression of their displeasure of the re-arresting of two of their colleagues Mohamed Ssegirinya of Kawempe North and Makindye West’s Allan Ssewanyana.

He applauded the LoP for leading the members of opposition aside the chambers than staying and worsening the situation. He was later prompted to adjourn the house to today, Wednesday September 29.

“It past of the right of any member of this house to signify decent way. I am not in disagreement with the act of walking out. The option would be to stay and make the situation difficult. I applaud the LOP for the good leadership.”

Speaking before adjourning the house, Oulanyah attacked the technical people in government for failing to correctly interpret instructions from their bosses thereby ending up breaking the law in the process of implementing them.

He challenged the government to ensure whatever is done is within the law to avoid similar situations in the future.
