Uganda Christian University has on Friday 28th October passed out a total of 1,570 graduates during the university’s 23rd graduation ceremony at main csmpus in Mukono.
These have been awarded Diplomas, Degrees, Masters and PhD in different academic disciplines.
Of the 1,570 graduands that graduated today, 828 are females while 742 are male graduates.
A total of 36 students graduated in first class degree and have been awarded with certificates of excellence among other academic prizes.
The Chairperson University Council, The Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa asked to always walk in the way of wisdom to make righteous decisions in life.
“The graduates, you should be aware that you will be faced with all kinds of advice, and you will also be required to make many choices both in your personal and professional lives. The Psalmist summarizes for us as to what we should do, in Psalm 1,” said Biblical allusive Rev. Prof. Olwa
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the UCU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi urged graduates to use the knowledge and skills obtained at a University to improve their livelihoods and provide lasting solutions to societal aspirations one way of becoming good ambassadors of Uganda Christian University to the society.
“Our dear graduates, go out into the world and raise the UCU flag by demonstrating excellence in word and action, making the most of the knowledge and skills you gained at UCU.
