Chaos Erupts at DP Headquarters Over Forgery on List of Delegates Ahead of Mbarara Conference

Police in Kakiri, Wakiso District, along Hoima Road, arrested over 20 youths on Tuesday night for allegedly terrorizing villages in the area over the past Month.

According to police, the arrests were triggered by an incident in which one of the suspects broke into the car of Kakiri Police Division Commander, Hassan Mugerwa and stole his phone.

“Using footage from private CCTV cameras, police identified and tracked down the suspect in Namayumba, also in Wakiso District .This led to the arrest of his accomplices,” police reported.

During the operation, police recovered items such as machetes and sacks of marijuana that were allegedly being used by the suspects.

Police have expressed determination to to end crimes in the area. Meanwhile, the suspects were detained and they await their arraignment before the courts of law.
