UNMEB releases December 2023 exam results

At least 3,909 candidates who sat for the Uganda nurses and midwives exams under UNMEB December 2023 series failed the exams.

This was revealed on Thursday 29 February, 2024 during the release of the results.

According to UNMEB, a total of 54,864 candidates, including 50,609 continuing students and 4,255 candidates in their final semester, registered for these semester exams.

Of the 50,609 who registered as continuing candidates, 46,997 candidates successfully passed their semester exams. They include 6,084 candidates advancing at the Diploma level and 40,913 at the Certificate level. These proceeded to their respective next levels.

A total of 3958 candidates successfully passed their final semester exams. They include 2,808 candidates on certificate programs, and 1447 candidates who pursued Diploma programs.

Out of 4,255 candidates in the final semester, 297 failed the exams while a total of 3,612 continuing candidates failed bringing the total number of failed candidates to 3,909 candidates.

The ceremony for the release of results was conducted today’s morning and preside over by the state minister for higher education Hon. J C Muyingo.
