KAMPALA
Wakiso District police have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the brutal killing of 18-year-old student, Bukenya Martin, on February 14, 2026.
The suspect, Musasizi Herbert, was apprehended in Gulu District after allegedly beating the teenager to death at his residence in Mabanda Cell, Gombe Division, Nansana Municipality.
According to police reports, the incident occurred after Musasizi found the deceased inside his home with his 14-year-old daughter. Bukenya, a student at Hillside Secondary School Matugga and resident of Kirinyabigo, Kawanda, Nabweru Division, succumbed to injuries sustained during the assault.
Police spokesperson SP Kawala Racheal (PRO Kampala Metropolitan) confirmed the arrest, noting that the suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue. Authorities are pursuing further leads to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crime.
