“We are closely following that police car affront us where POA has been bundled into,” FDC further noted.

In a short video captured, Amuriat is seen fighting to resist against his arrest but in vain as he was overpowered by five cops.

“Leave me alone,” charged Amuriat as he fought back, “What do you want from me? I am not going in this car.” Outcries Amuriat.

Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the FDC Spokesperson, had earlier vowed that the party will defy EC guidelines on nominations which requires each candidate to go with only 10 people including the witnesses (seconders) and the proposers.

These (fdc) had also threatened not to adhere to route guide issued by police to the presidential nominations venue in Kyambogo, and also were reportedly organizing a procession to the nominations centre an act that is contrary to EC set guidelines.

Amuriat is expected to be nominated today at 12pm at Kyambogo cricket grounds in Kyambogo university as the Presidential candidate for the 2021 election.

Three other candidates including incumbent Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa Kaguta (NRM), Brig Gen. Henry Tumukunde Kakurugu (Indep), Maj Gen. Mugisha Muntu Greg (ANT) were nominated yesterday while the forth candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine (NUP / People Power) has just been nominated by the EC Boss Simon Mugenyi Byabakama.

By publication time, Amuriat’s whereabouts had not been established.
