Police at Kira road police station have arrested Seven People on allegations of committing an act likely to spread an infection disease corona virus.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police, the suspects were found in one of the apartments in Balintuma village near Firidina road at where they were having a booze past curfew hours.
Police states that an operation followed complaints from a news dailies alleging that a lot of people would gather in one of the apartments booze and play loud music which was disrupting the peace of people and also defy the presidential directives on gatherings.
Police was quick to respond and carried out an operation in Ntinda and Kiwatule. Seven people were arrested while others took on their heels no sooner had they seen police.
The suspects according to police are being detained at Kira road police station.
In a similar incidents, Kabalagala police carried an operation in Bunga at Nomads Bar where it arrested 49people including the bar owner, Mr Fred Kamau, eight of his managers and others.
KMP could not divulge into the details of the but stated that they are all being detained at Kabalagala police station on allegations of doing a negligent act likely to spread infection disease corona virus.
Large gatherings, Bars are among the things which government had locked down in March as a mean of containing the possible spread of COVID-19.
