Police are probing the brutal murder of two family members including a senior six vacist and her mother in Nsiika Mbarara district.
This is after bodies of the deceased were found murdered inside a room in Nsiika in a suspected family wrangle.
It is reported that the deceased namely Ruth Ainembabazi, 18, in S. 6 Vacation and her mother, Bakashaba Frascisco 49, had gone to visit a brother in Nsiika when Bakashaba received a phone call from her husband Deus Musinguzi, 55, with whom they had not been in good terms, asking about their whereabouts.
Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga said the duo was not seen until January 6 when residents became suspicious and checked their house where they laid dead.
“Both their heads were smashed with a blunt object,” said Enanga.
Three suspects including the deceased husband, Musinguzi, her stepson, Julius Ainemukana, 25 and her co-wife, Rosemary Kyohairwe, 55 were arrested to aid in investigation.
“They were the last persons who called the victims, prior to their death, and were acting in a suspicious manner,” Enanga said
Police condemned increased cases of murder as a result of domestic violence urging the public to always use local council authorities and the police to resolve their issues.
