Police have launched investigations into the suspected murder of an unidentified male adult near Golf Course roundabout in Kampala.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police says the murder is a suspected homicide which occured on August 21, 2023, at 8:00am near Golf Course Roundabout, Kampala.
According to Owoyesigyire, the deceased whose identity is still unknown is in his forties. He was allegedly killed in a different place and his body dumped at Golf Course roundabout.
“He was found wearing a green jacket, white trousers, and open shoes nearby. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim met a tragic end at a different location before being left at the Golf Course Roundabout,” he said
Police from Wandegeya visited the scene of the crime, processed it and conveyed the body to City Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination.
Probe
The KMP deputy spokesperson said they are reviewing CCTV camera footage around the crime scene to gather critical evidence of the murder.
“In our ongoing efforts to gather critical evidence, the Territorial Police will be meticulously reviewing CCTV camera footage in the vicinity,” Owoyesigyire said
He said the footages will aid police in piecing together the events leading up to this unfortunate incident and assist in identifying potential suspects.
He urged anyone with information related to this murder to come forward and inform the police.
