“It is alleged that at around 11am, a lady who is yet to be identified came to police to report a case of domestic violence against the husband, prompting Sserugo to send Wasswa to call Okola to attend to the complainant,”Kawala told Kaaro Karungi.
Latest info from the area indicates that police have recovered an SMG rifle and 20 rounds of ammunitions which Sserugo used to accomplish his goal before he hijacked a Boda Boda rider from the scene.
Police says that the suspect later telephoned his colleagues at the station and directed them to a place where he had abandoned a gun.
They then visited the scene where a gun riffle and three magazines containing bullets were recovered.
However, the suspect is still on a run and police investigations are ongoing.
Preliminary investigations have indicated that the suspect had been complaining against the in charge for the police post favoring Wasswa in their day today duties.
