KAMPALA
The police in Kampala has apprehended a suspect in connection with a break-in at Glory Church in Kawaala on September 16, 2024.
According to authorities, unidentified intruders jumped the church fence and broke into the office, making off with a computer monitor and central processing unit (CPU).
Responding to the incident, the Police K9 Unit deployed a sniffer dog to the scene, which expertly tracked the suspects to the residence of Tugume Kiz, the suspect.
Police preliminary reports indicate that a thorough search of Tugume’s premises yielded the stolen CPU which was concealed among his clothing in a bag. The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
However, four additional male suspects, believed to be Tugume’s roommates, are into hiding and police is hunting for them.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the outstanding suspects to come forward and inform relevant authorities.
