Police in Kampala have commenced on investigations underwhich a casket with demands of having the ministry of health Permanent Secretary Diana Kanzira Atwine resign and her new reappointment cancelled.
The casket with placards of Anti Dr Atwiine’s reappointment has been dropped by unknown protestors on Clement Hill Road, leading to Mulago Specialized Hospital.
Since the reappointment of Dr. Atwine as PS ministry of health, she has been faced with strong oppositions from a large section of the public calling for her resignation over her alleged misappropriation of COVID-19 funds.
Protesters dissatisfied with Dr. Atwine’s working conduct were left frustrated when the President reappointed her and have since raged war against her implicating her in the covid money scandals.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy police spokesperson, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire says investigations into the protest are ongoing and the persons involved will be arrested and tried.
