Police in Rubirizi District are investigating the disappearance of Kwetegyereza Nicholas, 49, the chairperson of Mubanda D village LC1.
Kwetegyereza, reportedly lost contact with family on May 31, 2025, and has not been seen since.
Preliminary investigations suggest possible family discord as the cause of this disappearance. It is alleged that Kwetegyereza had previously been involved in disputes with his son and wife.
Two members of his family including his wife and their son, Nkahebwa have been arrested to aid police in investigation.
Greater Bushenyi Police spokesperson, SP. Tayebwa Apollo, confirmed the reports, urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating Nicholas.
“We are appealing to anyone with information about Kwetegyereza’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station,” SP. Apollo said.
The case, referenced as CRB 276/2025, is currently under active investigation.
