The Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni, is set to officially release the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results today at State House Nakasero at 11a.m.
Speaking ahead of the release, Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the Principal Public Relations Officer at the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), said candidates were assessed under the new curriculum, which focuses on equipping learners with practical skills and promoting continuous and holistic assessment.
“The 2025 UCE candidates form the second cohort of learners to be assessed under the Competence-Based Curriculum. And they were held under the same theme of embracing situated and holistic assessment of learners in a dynamic environment,” Kalule said.
She added, “During the function, UNEB Executive Director Daniel Odongo will present highlights from a study conducted by the examinations body on the benefits of the lower secondary school curriculum.”
The board also urged heads of examination centres with outstanding balances on the eReg portal to clear their invoices to avoid disruptions in accessing candidates’ results.
” No result shall be issued without total debt settlement,” UNEB warned.
UNEB said candidates and parents will be able to access the results via SMS shortly after the official release.
