KAMPALA
Traffic was halted on the Northern Bypass this evening after a trailer truck failed to break and rammed into several cars stuck in the traffic jam.
A yet to confirm number of passengers in the hit vehicles were killed and others sustained injuries.
Eyewitnesses say over 10 people died while their colleagues were still trapped inside the vehicles. Police rescue team arrived at the scene to rescue and save lives and bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the trapped cars.
By press time, police was yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
