A former security guard has been arrasted for stealing an SAR gun in Kajjansi.
According to Police Spokesman Fred Enanga, the suspect is Okello Ben, he stole the gun on 28th July 2023 from two private security guards of TIME COP Security at their guard point.
“Okello after stealing the gun he hid it in his kanzu and later tricked one of the guards at the Go cult sports recreation centre to leave his guard post and buy chapatis where he attacked and robbed the other guard“ he said
Enanga also added that Okello had previously stolen a gun on 13 May, 2023 from a private security guard at Forest Hotel in Lwezza zone A Mutungo Parish Ndejje Division but was released .
Enanga expressed his belief that the arrest of Okello would bring relief in Kajjansi and the surrounding areas as he will appear in court to answe charges illegal possession of firearms and attempted murder.
