Police in Masindi district are holding two security guards to help in investigation after robbery at Tik fuel station where yet unspecified amount of money was taken by armed robbers.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson confirmed the incident.
He identified the guards as Patrick Tugume, and One Alison, both security guards at the fuel station.
According to police, unknown thugs attacked Tik fuel station in Pakanyi sub county Masindi district, and the duo was tied before thieves broke into the offices and stole unspecified amount of money and other property.
He explained that the thugs left behind the two guns which were recovered and taken for forensics.
“After they tied these guards, they left one gun behind, then the other one was dumped in Kisanja town and these ones have been taken to police for forensic investigation.
“Hakiza however clarified that the two security guards were arrested to aid police in investigations. “These are the first suspects who are now under police custody at Masindi police station to aid in investigations,” said Hakiza.
