The UNAA Convention is an annual weekend gathering of Ugandans in a selected North American city to do business, network, meet family and friends, and enjoy great Ugandan entertainment.
Due to the continued effect of COVID-19 pandemic especially to the entertainment industry, many Ugandan artists have been longing for performing which could hardly be possible here since there was a ban on public gathering and concerts to curb the disease.
With the lockdown easing up a bit in various parts of the world, Ugandan North America organizes a largest gathering of Ugandans which will happen from September 2nd – 6th, on the United States of America Labor Day Weekend.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Uganda Festival & Expo at Fontainebleau Oceanfront Resort, Miami Beach.
Musicians Cindy Sanyu, King Saha, David Lutalo and B2C have been lined up to perform and they will share the stage with Mr Flavor.
All these performers have confirmed through videos that they will be in Miami.
However, the rampant Covid-19 cases in Kampala forced the US Embassy in Kampala to temporarily suspend non – immigrant Visas to the USA until further notice which raises concern on the artist’s flights.
In the past UNAA Causes flown artists from Uganda to other Countries to get Visas. In 2016, when UNAA Causes could not get Visa appointments at the US Embassy in Kampala so they flew several artistes to Dar es Salaam to chase their visas from there.
Will they do the same this time or it will go for known African Music stars?
