Kampala,
Uganda is set to host the third annual Power and Electricity Uganda International Expo 2025, starting 10th to 12th July, at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) Multi-purpose Hall in Kampala under the theme ” The future of energy smart, clean and connected”
The event was officially launched this morning by government and energy sector officials, with key players from the public and private sectors in attendance.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral development, Hon Ruth Nankabirwa expressed excitement over the growing interest in the expo, noting its role in shaping Uganda’s energy future. This event brings together everyone — from policy makers to industry leaders — to push forward the universal energy access.
More than 4,000 professionals and exhibitors from over eight countries are expected to attend. The expo serves as a business-to-business platform that will showcase innovations in energy, smart technology, and clean power solutions. “Entry is free”
The exhibition will highlight sectors such as solar energy, renewables, energy storage, transformers, lighting, telecommunication, and even clean cooking
This expo is a platform for partnerships, investment, and solutions. Uganda is positioning itself as a regional leader in sustainable and accessible energy. With national goals aimed at achieving net zero emissions and extending electricity access, the expo provides a space to align innovation with policy.
“We are working to break barriers. Whether it is cultural norms around clean cooking or remote villages needing mini-grids, this expo is part of the answer,” said the minister.
