Okoku Obomba, celebrated media trainer in Uganda is dead.
Obomba has been a long serving lecturer at Mukono based Uganda Christian University and Kampala University under Journalism and Communication departments.
UCU was the first to break the blacksmith news of the think tanker’s death.
“It is a sad moment for us at UCU. Mr. Okoku Obomba who has been a long time lecturer at the faculty of journalism media and communication has died. May God with the family,” UCU announced.
Obomba’s family had by the time of compiling this report not given an official communication about his death and funeral arrangements.
According to a social media post by Kampala University where the deceased has been lecturing, the burial will be in West Nile at a later to be communicated by the family.
Obomba holds Bachelor of Political science from Makerere University, Masters of Journalism Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Makerere University.
He has been a great a senior lecturer and researcher in radio drama, journalism and communication.
