The Uganda National Examinations Board – UNEB has postponed the release of national examination results for primary commonly known as Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) to next week.
Last weekend, the board Executive Secretary Dan Odongo said the results would be out on this week on Friday 20th January 2023.
However, latest information from the UNEB spokesperson Jenifer Kalule Musamba indicates that UNEB will not release the results this week due to unavoidable circumstances.
“UNEB executive body hasn’t yet met the minister of education because she has been so busy this week,” Kalule said
UNEB is mandated to brief the minister of education on the performance of candidates and board performance before the release of exam results.
Kalule noted that Pile results will be released next week at a date to be communicated.
Data at UNEB indicates that 832,810 candidates registered and sat for the 2022 PLE.
