“I was very disappointed that Dokolo District was among the worst performed districts in the country in PLE results, we need to change this kind of performance. We need better health care services in our district,” Aguti castigated.

She pledged to improve the status of schools, health facilities in Dokolo as well as lobbying for quality service delivery in the area when elected the district woman representative.

Aguti made the remarks on Wednesday 13th March, during the official launch of her campaign in Amwoma sub-county.

Today, UPC party has launched its campaigns in Amwoma Sub-County, Dokolo District for her flag bearer Aguti Sarah Nyangkori. The Party President Hon. Akena Jimmy accompanied by UPC MPs and party leaders joined in efforts to canvass support for their flag bearer.

A mammoth of voters in Dokolo gather at Amwoma sub-county to welcome and listen to UPC candidate for Woman MP slot, Dokolo district, Sarah Aguti Nyangkori on her campaign launch. The campaign trail was led by the party president Hon. Jimmy Akena, UPC parliamentary group and other top party officials.

Addressing the rally, president Akena noted that the country is in a crisis of quality services because of the weak education system in Uganda.

Akena who disclosed his intentions to contest for presidency in 2026, further urged electorates in Dokolo to vote the UPC candidate, Sarah Aguti Nyangkori because its the big numbers of MPs in parliament which will determine UPC’s victory in the 2026 elections.

“I want to create opportunities for all the young people to succeed in this country, we want to provide the right quality education and skills that provide jobs to our people so that they can earn enough income to sustain their family needs,” Akena said.

He added; ” Our success will be measured by how we have changed people’s lives but not how long you have stayed in power. I have made a decision to run for that office in 2026. Vote UPC candidate Sarah Aguti because our journey to State House starts with us voting many UPC MPs.”

Campaigns for Dokolo district Woman MP by-election started today and will close on March 19. Polling will take place on Thursday 21st March, 2024, according to the Electoral Commission roadmap.
