Police in Kampala are investigating circumstances underwhich a 59-year-old follower died at Christian Life Church, Makerere founded by renown Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga.
The sudden death occurred at around 4pm on Wednesday 8th February, 2023 during prayer service at the Christian Life Church in the Kigundu zone, Makerere III Parish, Kampala.
The Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesman, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire has identified the deceased as Najjuma Rossete, 59, a resident of Kisoga in Mukono District.
According to police, the deceased had been receiving treatment at Mulago Hospital for the past three years and was recently brought to Pr. Ssenyonga’s church for prayer.
“Despite undergoing various tests, no disease was diagnosed. As a result, she was brought to the church,” police reported.
Thebody has been taken to the city mortuary in Mulago for further investigation to determine the cause of death.
