DJ who earned himself a reputation for his romantic voice and sense of humour at Kiwafu- Kansanga based 100.2 Galaxy FM spent his whole night yesterday in police coolers at Katwe Police station enjoying free food and security provided by the government.
Dj Nimrod, was yesterday arrested by Police in Makindye on allegations that he was distributing food without respecting Ministry of Healthy directives.
Patrick Onyango, the PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police, confirmed Nimrod’s arrest together with DJ Shafiq Walakira.
According to an enormous source, the Djs were distributing food to people who had gathered at their (DJs Office) office in Makindye which violates the set procedures.
However, themanagement today with the help of Promoter Balaam Barugahare, managed to get the convicts out of prison.
Innocent Nahabwe, Station’s MD, on a social media post admitted that DJ Nimrod was out of the cells stating it was businesses as usual at the station.
DJ Nimrod, co host at Zzina’s most listened to dusk rush show : the “Evening Rush – Reloaded” is also known for his severe engagements in bar brawls and romantic affairs which sections of his listeners alleged was a reason behind his arrest.
