Addressing a presser on Tuesday at the Uganda Media Center-UMC Mbayo said they have contained the numbers to keep up with the Standard Operating Procedures-SOPs on Covid-19.

Mbayo says that all invited guests will have to undergo a Covid-19 test before they are allowed access to the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds where the swearing-in will take place.

She however says the heads of state are to be tested before entering the country while their entourage will be tested here.

She further explained that despite the Ministry of Health’s recommended number of guests is restricted to only 200, adjustments were made after consulting based on the nature of the occasion and that it only happens every 5 years.

Mbayo also says all SOPs such as social distancing and hand washing will be observed on the inauguration day.
