Police in Kampala has on Wednesday morning arrested 68 suspects along the Nakivubo channel during a security operation in Down Town.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson says the suspects would rob people of their properties and then hide under the bridge.
He said the operation was aimed to minimizing increasing crime rates in Kampala noting that the operations will be extended to Kampala metropolitan areas.
According to him, 10 of the suspects are held at Central Police Station while the other 58 are being detained at Old Kampala police station pending court.
