Rwizi regional police have cleared the air on the circulating messages alleging the death of Dan Rweiburingyi who was reportedly shot by minister Rukutaana in Rushenyi Ntungamo.
Speaking to the media, Samson Kasasira, the police spokesperson for Rwizi region said that Rweiburingyi is still a live and is receiving treatment at Mbarara regional referral hospital where has been hospitalized since the shooting incidence.
He has appealed to the general public to disregard all the information that Rweiburingyi is dead.

Rweiburingyi was allegedly shot by State Minister for Labour and Industrial Development, Mwesigwa Rukutaana in Rushenyi Ntungamo over the weekend.
Rukutaana and his three security guards were later arrested and detained at Mbarara Central Police Station on attempted murder, inciting violence and malicious damage charges.
However, authorities have suspended the allegations that the victim was shot by a bullet claiming that he was hit by an object which experts are yet to identify.
Kasasira yesterday told reports that police confiscated the guns which Rukutaana’s guards were using suspected to have been used in the shooting exercise. He said the guns have been given to security experts to examine the fingerprints and find out if they were used to fire bullets.
