Renowned Congolese preacher Prophet Israel Panganga has arrived in Uganda for a four-day spiritual mission that will focus on prayer, healing, deliverance and preaching the Gospel.
Prophet Panganga landed in Uganda on Wednesday in the company of Dr Joseph Osango ahead of the programme that will be hosted by Rainbow Church Uganda in Salaama, Makindye Division.
Speaking to journalists at New Buziga Sunshine Hotel in Kampala, Panganga said the visit was aimed at strengthening the church’s ministry in Uganda and ministering to people seeking spiritual intervention.
“Our mission in Uganda is to pray, preach the Gospel of God and support the work that is being done by our church in the country,” he said.
The Congolese preacher also commended Uganda for guaranteeing freedom of worship and prayed for President Yoweri Museveni and the country’s leadership.
“Uganda is a country that loves God. May God bless the President of this country and those in authority,” Panganga said.
The host pastor, Emmanuel Tshunza of Rainbow Church Uganda, said the four-day programme will include baptisms, preaching, prayers for the sick, childless couples and people facing different life challenges.
He said the church had also invited leaders from other Pentecostal churches to join the prayers and ministerial fellowship.
“There will be meetings with ministers and people who have ministries. No matter the problem or sickness you have, come and witness the power of God,” Tshunza said.
Dr Joseph Osango urged Ugandans to attend the services, saying faith in Jesus Christ remains the answer to life’s challenges.
“God wants to manifest Himself in reality in our lives. All your problems, difficulties and sicknesses have a solution in our Lord Jesus Christ,” Osango said.
He added that people with a calling to ministry or those seeking spiritual direction through visions and dreams would also receive guidance during the meetings.
According to the organisers, the prayer conference will begin on Friday, July 17, and conclude with a special service on Sunday, July 19, at Rainbow Church Uganda along Salaama Road, Wakurekana.
The organisers have called on Christians and members of the public from across the country to attend the services.
