The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has dismissed social media reports claiming that the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results will be released on Friday, February 7, 2025.
In a statement issued by Jennifer Kalule-Musamba, the Principal Public Relations Officer of UNEB, the public was urged to disregard misinformation circulating on various platforms.
“The public is hereby informed that the 2024 UCE results shall NOT be released on Friday, February 7, as alleged on some platforms,” she stated.Musamba further clarified that the official release date for the results, which include both the first cohort of the New Lower Secondary Curriculum and the last cohort of the Old Curriculum/Transitional candidates, will be communicated once confirmed.
UNEB advised students, parents, and stakeholders to rely on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding the examination results.
A total of 379,620 candidates registered to sit for the two series of the UCE 2025 exams. They include UCE New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC): 369,477 candidates, and an additional 10,143 for the transitional examination (Old Curriculum).
