The leader and founder of the Faith of Unity, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, has urged believers and residents of Kyenjojo District to focus on establishing small industries for local development.
Speaking at a two-day event held in Kyarusozi parish, Kisangi village, Bisaka’s visit was marked by the inauguration of 355 new staff members and the conversion of 198 believers from various religions to the Faith of Unity, further strengthening its grassroots presence in the region.
During the visit to Kyarusozi Bukwenda Diocese, an area once associated with witchcraft, Bisaka emphasized the importance of unity across religions, tribes and communities. He highlighted the need for collective efforts towards development and ending divisions.
Bisaka also expressed gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, acknowledging the peace, security, and freedom brought by his leadership under the National Resistance Movement(NRM) as pivotal to the growth of the Faith of Unity. He noted that Museveni’s intervention during the 1980s and 1990s helped dispel propaganda aimed at undermining the Faith and reaffirmed the Faith’s support for President Museveni and the ruling NRM party.
”If it wasn’t president Museveni who investigated the propaganda stories which those who fought the Faith and Owobusobozi Bisaka used in the 18s and 19s to stop the work of the Faith to go on. We thank the President and we will always support him and as believers of the Faith of Unity we all belong to NRM” Bisaaka said.
Throughout the event, Bisaka’s teachings inspired many to join the Faith, with several testimonies of spiritual and physical healings, including one man who claimed to have been blessed with 10 cars after praying through Bisaka. The new converts were not only welcomed into the Faith of Unity but also encouraged to support NRM, as one of the Faith’s core principles is aligned with the government.
As a symbol of their commitment, Bisaka distributed the Faith’s calendar, which designates only three days of rest each month, to be devoted to worship and praise.
Following the Kyenjojo visit, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka is set to continue his work in Arua City, a known opposition stronghold, where he plans to spread his teachings and rally support for President Museveni and his tireless efforts to mobilize believers for unity and development remain ongoing year-round.
