“Candidates and their supporters should know that being in elections period does not mean breaking traffic laws. So anyone found will face the laws”

Ndyahabwe urged the candidates to brief their supporters to drive carefully, not overloading, over speeding because they will be arrested during or after campaigns.

Meanwhile Opposition candidates who attended the meeting condemned Security forces over defacing, uninstalling their campaign posters.

Betty Ethel Naluyima, National Unity Platform (NUP) member and Wakiso District Women MP also vying for the same post, disclosed that most of her poster particularly in Entebbe Municipality has been destroyed by security which action is disturbing and waste her funds.

Kyadondo East MP Muwada Nkunyinji and Charles Mugisha Katongole of Democratic Front (DF) party also vying for Busiro North Constituency both warned Security to desit from blocking thiyer activities because it is a campaign period where is free to talk to his supporters without any disturbances.

“Am ready to face-off with security if they attempt to block my activities because its time to tell my voters what am going to do for them in my second term in Parliament” Muwada said.

The Wakiso District returning officer Tolbert Musinguzi also assured candidates of peaceful campaign period however warned them to desisit from doing things which disrupt peace.
