On Saturday, residents in Byafura cell, Mbarara city left in shock after a three storeyed building developed cracks threatening to collapse.
Latest reports on Parrots UG desk indicate that the building which is located along Victor Bwana road has finally collapsed on the ground.
Reliable sources have told PARROTS UG that no death or injuries have been registered as all occupants were prior ordered to vacate the building.
The said building is owned by a young entrepreneur Duncan Mpabwa and it has been under construction for three years though it houses some businesses including Black Bank Mbarara branch.
Last week, the deputy Mbarara city town clerk Richard Mugisha told reports that the building was approved by the council blaming the collapse threats on the site engineers who he said could have used fake building materials.
