Bishop Twinomujuni warns against incest

While addressing the congregation at Bweranyinji Girls Secondary School during confirmation and dedication of S.4 and S.6 students at the school late last evening, the bishop of west Ankole diocese, Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni condemned the act of incest among families.

He said that after having watched a news story on TV West in which police announced that they were in search for a run-away man who is said to have defiled his own biological daughter. What baffled the bishop the most was the daughter defending the father to be left alone because she claims that he did not defile her.

During the event, 147 students were confirmed into the Anglican faith and over around 400 students accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

Bishop Johnson also further warned students to concentrate on academics and ensure that they become very responsible Citizens in future.

In related news, on 28th June 2022, a medical doctor Gilverse Twiine Rubagumya appeared before court on charges of aggravated defilement after defiling and impregnating his 17 year old biological daughter a former student of Bweranyangi girls’ school.

On 27th Sept. 2022, chief magistrate’s court granted Dr.Twiine bail after his case was reduced from aggravated defilement to incest.
