The National Unity Platform Principal, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has eulogised the demise death of party mobiliser in Bukoto central, Badru Katongole Mohammed who died in a car crash.
In his condolence message, Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine, expressed sympathies to the bereaved pledging that the party is going to coordinate with the family to give Katongole a befitting burial.
“With shock and grief, I have learnt of the death of comrade Katongole Badru Muhammad, who participated in the NUP candidate selection for MP Bukoto Central. He perished in a terrible accident this morning. On behalf of the NUP fraternity and on my own behalf, I send deep sympathies to his family, friends and all of us who knew him. What a loss to the forces of change! We shall coordinate with the family regarding burial arrangements. Kitalo nnyo! Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un,” eulogises Bobi Wine.
Katongole who had participated in the NUP flagbearer selection exercise for the Bukoto central but lost.
He died in a tragic road accident in the ewe hours of Friday when a Mark X car in which he was travelling overturned after colliding with another car, killing him instantly.
Its is reported that the deceased and his car occupants were travelling to Ntungamo district to attend a funeral ceremony for NBS Television political analyst Dr. Abdulnoor Anas Kaliisa, who fainted and passed on Wednesday at his home in Kawempe Kampala.
Eyewitnesses say the Mark X was speeding when it hit another car and overturned.
Katongole died on spot and was reportedly rushed to Kyazanga hospital while the other four occupants of his car were transferred to Kitovu hospital in critical conditions, two of them under Intensive care.
