Uganda National Roads Authority has handed over another new ferry in a period of less than a month to traders in Buvuma to ease transportation of people and their goods.
The new MV Buvuma has the passenger capacity of 120 passengers and carries 8 vehicles per route.
The new ferry will according to UNRA be travelling three routes per day from Kiyindi landing site in Buikwe district to Kirongo landing site in Buvuma district.
In the recent past, UNRA also handed over another Kiyindi – Buvuma ferry with a maximum capacity of 300 passengers and 12 normal sized vehicles or 6 trucks.
