Uganda’s first civilized Kingdom, Buganda has through it’s kingdom broadcaster CBS FM launched the radio’s mega annual event, Enkuka 2022.

The CBS End of Year mega party also known as “Enkuuka ya CBS” returns this year after 2 years without being celebrated.

Last celebrated on December 31, 2019, the Enkuuka ya CBS had been suspended for 2 years due to the Covid 19 lockdown.

However, on Thursday, the station manager, Micheal Kawooya Mwebe entered a Memorandum of Understanding with the events promotion company; Luba Events to organize this year’s Enkuuka.

The 2022 Enkuuka ya CBS had been dubbed “ENKUUKA VIMBA’ scheduled to take place in Mengo palace on December31.

CBS FM station manager Michael Kawooya Mwebe signed an MoU on behalf of the broadcaster whereas events promoter Lubuulwa Moses signed on behalf of Luba Events.

CBS has also instituted an eight man committee to spearhead the organisation activities of the Enkuuka Vimba. The committee will be chaired by the stations Programmes Director, Hajji Abbey Mukiibi Nkaaga deputized by Christopher Bajjabayira.

Other members of the committee are; Saul Katumba, Omumbejja Aisha Nakalema Kabejja, Godfrey Male Busuulwa, Patriko Mujuuka, Matovu Fred and Kiyimba Mark alias Dikteta Mark.

At the celebration of CBS End of Year party, the winner of the CBS program Entanda ya Buganda known as ’Omuzira mu Bazira wa CBS’ will be declared and given a land title by the Kingdom’s head, Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Mwenda Mutebi II.

Entand ya Buganda is a radio program aired on CBS FM Emmanduso (88.8FM) every Monday to Friday from starting 9:15PM inwhich people from all walks of life (subjects of the Kabaka) participate by answering spot on questions (Q&A) regarding the cultural customs and rituals of Buganda Kingdom. This year’s Entanda ya Buganda is funded by alongside Home Connect Properties Limited, a real estate consultant guru company in Uganda.
