Chil Group, a leading health and hygiene innovation has announced a new partnership with Reckitt to improve hygiene standards in schools across Uganda.
This new collaboration will focus on the Dettol Hygiene Quest Program, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming hygiene in schools through better hygiene facilities and impactful education.
At least 1,500 schools across Uganda will benefit from this program, setting the stage for even bigger efforts across Sub-Saharan Africa and ensure long-lasting results for schools, communities, and children.
Dr. Shamim Nabuuma, Founder of Chil Group, revealed that the initiative will allow them to address several hygiene related challenges in schools.
“Reckitt has been a game-changer for us. Their support in 2023 gave a big boost to our telemedicine projects. Now, this renewed commitment with the Dettol Hygiene Quest Program allows us to tackle a key challenge related to hygiene education for school aged children. Together, we will educate, empower and inspire school children, instilling healthy hygiene habits,” said Nabuuma.
Accordingly, the partnership will empower children (5-8 years ), teachers, and families with practical knowledge about hygiene and how to sustain it.
The partnership blends Chil Group’s innovative approach with Reckitt’s deep experience in health and hygiene education. By working together, both organizations are committed to creating real, lasting change in Uganda and beyond.
