Foul smell emanating from the house alerted the passerby young boy who went to check what was smelling only to discover a rotting body of an unknown person in a ceiling.

“Upon climbing at the ceiling, he found the said decomposing dead body hanging on the rope, there after informed the catechist who also informed the LC II and police was accordingly notified,” police reported.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the odour had been noticed previously (on Marchb5) by the priest who also ordered the resident catechist, Silvano Karemire to make a search of what could have died in the building something he did not do.
