“Museveni is a good herdsman. Why doesn’t he employ his son at one of his farms if he thinks he is a very good manager?”

The Forum for Democratic Change has called for the immediate dismissal and trial in the General Court Martial of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba over indiscipline.

The call has been made by thrir the Kiira municipality MP also the FDC spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda at the party weekly press briefing held at Najanankubi Kampala, on Monday.

“Muhoozi Kainerugaba should be court martialed, dismissed from the army and sent to Luzira Prison,” Ssemujju said

This follows last week’s alarming tweets by Gen. Muhoozi, then the commander of land forces inwhich he threatened to attack Nairobi within two weeks.

According to the FDC the general’s behavior is scandalous and contravenes section 145 (1) of the UPDF Act which seeks to convict, dismiss any officer who with or without disgrace behaves in a scandalous manner.

Also, clause (2) of the section 145 explains scandalous conduct of the army officers.

“For purposes of this section, “scandalous conduct” means the personal conduct of an officer which is generally against public order, expectations and morality, whether or not the conduct directly or indirectly affects others.”

It should be noted that less than 24 hours after the cryptic tweets, president Museveni announced he had promoted Muhoozi from the rank of Lieutenant General to the rank of Four Star General, which he has been decorated today.

But, the FDC the promotion is unlawful accusing Museveni of setting a wrong precedent of rewarding misconduct officers.

Although President Museveni and the ministry of foreign affairs have publicly apologized to Ugandans and Kenyan government over the tweets, Ssemujju advises Museveni to employ Muhoozi to one of his farms in Rwakitura Kiruhura or Kisozi to take care of their cattle than unlawfully promoting him as a parent giving out sweets to her child.

“Museveni is a good herdsman. Why doesn’t he employ his son at one of his farms if he thinks he is a very good manager?”
