The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the sample papers for the UCE End of Cycle Competency Based Assessment under the New Lower Secondary School Curriculum (NLSC).
Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the public relations and corporate affairs officer at UNEB said the released sample papers cover thirty six (36) subjects in the category of humanities, sciences, vocational and languages. They include History, Geography, Religious Education – CRE/IRE (humanities), Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and General Sciences for the blind (sciences), Agriculture, ICT, Art and Design, Performing Arts, Information and Technology etc (vocational), Foreign, Official and Local Languages like Germany , French, Latin, English, Kiswahili, Lusoga, Runyankole Rukiga, Luganda and Dhopadhola etc (Languages).
Kalule said the sample papers are available for access to all UNEB Examination centres via the official UNEB portal. She added that the board will distribute hard copy booklets to schools which have no UNEB centre numbers.
“UNEB calls upon teachers to familiarize themselves with the sample papers, guide learners and come up with similar or related scenarios and questions to expose the learners to a variety of test items,” read a statement by UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo in parts.
