KAMPALA
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has appointed Soroti District Woman Member of Parliament, Anna Adeke Ebaju, as its new Chief Whip in Parliament.
Adeke, 34, replaces Yusuf Nsibambi, who recently crossed to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) after losing the Mawokota South parliamentary seat in the January elections.
The appointment was formally communicated to Parliament during a plenary sitting on Wednesday.
As Chief Whip, Adeke will be responsible for coordinating the party’s positions in Parliament, enforcing discipline among FDC legislators, and serving as a link between the party leadership and its parliamentary caucus.

Her new role also includes strengthening internal coordination within the party and sharpening its response to legislative business as the House continues its work.
The Chief Whip plays a critical role in organising party members during debates and ensuring adherence to agreed party positions on key national issues.
