First Lady and Minister of Education, Janet Katana Museveni, delivered a powerful speech at Ntare School, urging the youth to embrace patriotism. The speech, read on her behalf by Minister Peter Ogwang, emphasized the importance of being a guiding light for the country and loving Uganda wholeheartedly. The event, which marked the end of a patriotism training program at the school, was attended by Minister of Sports, Peter Ogwang, who inspected a parade of 1600 students who had undergone the training.
The patriotism program, launched by President Museveni, aims to instill discipline and a sense of love for the country among Ugandans, particularly the younger generation. In her message, Janet Museveni, through Minister Ogwang, expressed her appreciation for the program, highlighting its positive impact on promoting discipline among citizens.
Hellen Sseku, the Commissioner of Patriotism in the President’s Office, revealed plans to involve various key stakeholders in ensuring the success of the program. These include teachers, public servants, leaders of government entities, authorities, and other influential figures. By engaging these individuals, Sseku hopes to achieve even better results in fostering a patriotic spirit within the nation.
Overall, the patriotism training administered at Ntare School, under the guidance of Minister Janet Museveni, showcased the commitment of the government to nurturing a sense of patriotism among the youth.
