KAMPALA
Former Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Executive Secretary Matthew Bukenya has passed away.
Bukenya reportedly died on Sunday night and news of his death was confirmed by UNEB on early Monday morning.

MHSRIP 🙏”, read a WhatsApp message by UNEB Principal Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Officer, Jennifer Kalule Musamba.
Bukenya was the longest-serving UNEB boss, after he served the board for about 17 years from 1997 until his retirement in March, 2016.

He was recalled out of retirement in 1997 to head UNEB where he previously worked as an accountant replacing David Livingstone Ongom who was sacked by government.
Bukenya was replaced by the current UNEB Secretary, Dan N Odongo. More details of his death will be reported in our subsequent reports. MHSRIP 🙏.
