The Ministry of Education and Skills Development in Botswana has rolled out over 56, 000 ICT gadgets to learners and teachers at all senior secondary schools across the country for teaching and learning.
This was shared by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Merriam Maroba when appearing before the parliament Public Accounts Committee yesterday.
She also highlighted that the Ministry is now working on securing a further 168, 000 electronic gadgets to be rolled out to learners and teachers at junior secondary schools.
The initiative is part of government’s efforts to improve teaching and learning in schools as the country strives towards its objective of becoming a knowledge-based economy.
