Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha Mugore, the esteemed woman Member of Parliament for Bushenyi district, joined the Moslem community in celebrating Eid al-Fitr at the Butare main mosque in Butare, Kyamuhunga town council, Igara West constituency. The atmosphere was filled with joy and exuberance as they marked the end of the thirty days of fasting.
During her address to the Moslem community, Hon. Annet emphasized the importance of love that transcends religious beliefs, ethnicities, and gender differences. She urged the Moslems to strive for the progress and development of their families, highlighting the pivotal role of families as the bedrock of society. As a gesture of goodwill, she made a generous contribution of one million Uganda shillings towards the construction of the mosque.
The Butare mosque Imam applauded Hon. Katusiime’s presence at the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
He noted that it does not only only demonstrate her respect for the Moslem community but also showcased her commitment to fostering unity and collaboration among different religious groups in the region.
“Your words of encouragement and support have been well-received and this further solidifies your reputation as a dedicated and compassionate leader” said Imam.
