Ikumbania Geoffrey Wayabire 11, the traditional leader of Bugweri, has visited the Office of national chairman (NRM) ONC Kyambogo to discuss how President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s upcoming visit to Bukedi can enhance youth participation in government programs.
During the meeting with Hajjati Hadijah Namyalo, Head of the Presidential Office, Ikumbania emphasized the need to address poverty among youth and encourage their involvement in government initiatives. She urged the people of Bugweri to attend President Museveni’s rallies, where they can engage with him on their concerns and achievements.
Furthermore, Hajjati Namyalo expressed gratitude for Ikumbania’s support to government programs and pledged to strengthen relationships with the community.

She highlighted poverty as a significant issue in the region, particularly among youth, which President Museveni aims to address during his visit to Bukedi.
The meeting, attended by various traditional leaders, aimed to foster collaboration and development in Bugweri. President Museveni’s visit is part of a series of meetings across the country to discuss government programs and empower local communities.
