The Deputy Lord Mayor for Kampala capital city Authority, Doreen Nyanjura has hailed the leadership of Ambrosoli Consult Uganda Limited- (ACUL) for championing women empowerment and promotion in their programs.
“Ambrosoli Consult is the leader of women empowerment. I encourage women groups to come to ACUL for consultations on women empowerment, capacity building programs”, said Nyanjura.
She was on Wednesday 27th April, 2022, speaking at the weekly AMBROSOLI CONSULT Think Tank at Serena Hotel Kampala
Ambrosoli Consult Think Tank is a weekly discussion organised by ACUL that brings together people of different expertise to dissect issues on socio-economic development in Uganda. This week’s Think Tank was chaired by Deus Monday, the Director of Research and Training at Ambrosoli and a former commissioner of the ministry of education and sports.
During the discussion, Richard Asingwire, a PhD candidate at Kampala International University (KIU) presented his Research on; “Students’ health behaviour and course completion in public and private universities in Uganda,” to the close academia and professionals on the subject.
He was awarded a certificate of recognition for his research and encouraged to continue carrying out research studies that impacts society as well as providing solutions to societal aspirations.
Speaking at the discussion, Dr. Otanga Rusoke, the Chief Executive officer of Ambrosoli Consult said Arinaitwe’s topic is a well thought study that may save lives if implemented by different stakeholders.
He also urged the KCCA Deputy Lord mayor to provide for a lasting solution to Kampala street vendors and improve on both city markets and the standards of traders in those markets.
He cited alot of drainage problems and kasasiro (poorly disposed wastes) in Usafi market and taxi park which according to him needs immediate attentions if Kampala was to be kept clean as it is a recent campaign at KCCA.
