He superseded his counterpart Mary Nahwera also a student of Business Administration who managed to get 395 votes.
Out of the 15 polling centres in different study campuses, 14 managed to successfully vote however, there was alleged election malpractice in the centres of Kotido and Iganga which prompted the chairperson to call off elections in those two centres.
In a free and fair election according to the EC, the vice chairperson Electoral commission Nsubuga Kato noted that there wasn’t any chaos.
“The process is so far so well,we have not had any chaos” Nsubuga said earlier yesterday before declaration of the results.
In as much as the “Lala” camp is in a celebrations mood, the Mary camp cited a few alleged irregularities. Joy Nyabuto the chief campaign manager in the Mary camp said some intruders from outside the university participated in the voting exercise. She however, didn’t divulge into details of the camp’s next cause of action.
“…there are people who were coming from outside to vote and they are not students” she said
Magalula will succeed Alice Akampurira as Team University’s Guild President 2023-2024.
