A Health worker in Lira has been rushed to Entebbe General Hospital having tested for COVID-19 disease.
According to reports from Lira Regional Referral Hospital, the said health worker contracted the disease last week after getting into contacts with the infected patients.
Buchan Ocean, the Lira District Health Officer when contacted could neither confirm nor deny the reports.
Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, the Minister of Health has urged all health workers to be extra careful whenever they are treating and taking care of the COVID-19 infected patients.

Yesterday, the ministry confirmed 84 new COVID-19 cases the highest ever number of cases recorded.
According to the ministry, 52 new cases are truck drivers : 50 arrived via Elegu, while 2 arrived via Busia.
Reports further indicated that 32 cases are contacts to previously confirmed cases all of whom were under quarantine at the time of test.
Additionally, 51 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID-19 were handed over to their country of origin.
Ministry further reported that a total of 1,835 Samples were tested yesterday. These includes1,477 samples from Points of Entry tested today while 358 were Samples from alerts and contacts
Uganda currently total number of the confirmed COVID-19 positive cases stands at 413. The number of Recoveries increased to 72cases.
