Police in Rubirizi district have arrested a man on allegations of defilement of his 4-year-old daughter.
The suspect is Ibrahim Ssentongo, 30, a resident of MugogoII village, Mugogo parish in Ryeru subcounty, Rubirizi district.
It is alleged that on the 19th September, the suspect was caught red-handed into the devilish act by a one Rona Kyarimpa who later informed police.
The suspect was apprehended, arrested and is now inside police custody.
Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson confirmed to the arrest reports.
According to Tumusiime, the suspect separated with the victim’s mother three years ago with whom they had three children.
“Early this year, the wife reportedly brought the children back to their father and two of the children have been staying with him,” he said
The victim was subjected to a test and results indicated that she had been severally defiled.
